 The place was Pacha, Ibiza , the year is 2008. The date was Friday June 20th and for those of you who were there, it was a night that should not be forgotten. After months of fevered anticipation, Dutchman Fedde le Grand finally stepped behind the decks of the world’s most famous club to kick off his brand new Pure Pacha residency. It was, in one word, phenomenal.Tune after tune rained down on a rapturous audience as Fedde took Pacha to new heights. Not only were clubbers beside themselves but one of music’s most talented and prolific producers, the Black Eyed Peas’ Will.i.am was also seen to be dancing literally on the decks.
Joining Fedde in Ibiza to promote their two huge new collaborations, Will.i.am made a beeline for the DJ booth to hang out with Fedde and soak up the atmosphere as thousands raised their hands in acknowledgement of this true new titan of EDM. In what was without doubt the mother of all grand finales, Will.i.am then took to the mic and treated Pacha to a scorching live session, showcasing Fedde’s I Feel Alive and their remix of Will’s track, The Donque Song – you heard it here first! Those who were waiting for a sneak preview of Fedde’s Madonna remix, sorry – you’ll have to hang on a short while longer, hopefully not too much!
