 With all eyes on Miami and the 23rd annual Winter Music Conference, Vega Records are preparing to touch down in sunny Florida alongside Soul Heaven Records, Blaze Imprints and Fania Records for one of THE events of the Conference! Roots NYC at The Vagabond in downtown Miami on Thursday March 27 will feature upfront sets from some of House music’s shining stars and promises to bring the classic sound of the acclaimed Roots night at Cielo in New York City to the warm streets of Miami. Headlining will be none other than Roots resident and Grammy Award-winning DJ producer Louie Vega, who will be joined by fellow Roots resident and Blaze Imprints front man Kevin Hedge and his partner in beats and the voice of Blaze, Josh Milan.
Vega Records artist and New York’s trailblazing DJ-Producer Mr V. will also be on hand to perform a live PA of exclusive new material produced by Louie Vega to drop soon on Vega Records as well as a brand new production to feature on his forthcoming Soul Heaven release, ‘Soul Heaven Presents Mr V. & Danny Krivit’. Soul Heaven A&R head and one half of Fanatix – Neil Pierce – will also step up to the decks to promote the compilation. House Music mainstay and Ricanstruction Records head Frankie Feliciano promises to have the up for it Miami crowd getting down as he delivers one of his trademark sets while the ‘King of Gospel House Music’ and one of the most revered voices in House music – Kenny Bobien – will perform a Live PA and will no doubt leave The Vagabond in raptures with his commanding stage presence and beautiful voice. Expect to hear some new material from all who perform at The Vagabond on Thursday March 27; as well as the forthcoming Soul Heaven release compiled by Mr V and Danny Krivit, Fania Records are promoting their new Fania Remixed compilation, ‘I Like It Like That’, to be released in May featuring remixes by the likes of Louie Vega (Elements Of Life), New York’s Sacred Rhythm front man Joe Claussell, UK-based DJ-production collective Bugz In The Attic and many more. Finally, Miami mainstays Louie Vega, the Blaze duo and Frankie Feliciano will, as expected, be sure to have crates full of upfront cuts for the WMC crowd to get down to.
