Following his runaway success at the sun-kissed SW4 Festival in Clapham this summer, Paul van Dyk returned to London in triumphant style to play a sold-out gig at London’s infamous KoKo last week. The fans turned out en masse with their party heads on full throttle to pay homage to a demi-God on the decks - some would say the night even eclipsed the memory of our same-day rugby defeat! Paul returned to British shores to continue his ‘In Between’ album tour in Newcastle and Manchester – if you managed to get tickets to either show and want to shout about what a wicked night you had, please feel free to post your pictures and comments on our Myspace page – www.myspace.com/positivarecords .
In other exciting news, Paul (he’s a very busy man don’tcha know) presented an award at the MTV European Music Awards 2007 on Thursday November 1st in Munich. The show was broadcast live on MTV. In other PvD related news, recently signed to Positiva from Paul van Dyk’s Berlin based label, Vandit, is the fantastic new trance track ‘Anthem’ by Filo & Peri. In this case, it does exactly what it says on the tin! Yes, that’s right, look no further for the anthem set to accompany you into the New Year with a proper BANG. Feedback from prime radio stations has been phenomenal and Mixmag have already made this track their Big Tune No.2… is this the year that trance wipes the floor with the usual X-Factor drivel and we enter 2008 with a chart topper that doesn’t make you want to reach for your Nan’s sherry just to alleviate the noise coming from the radio??
