 Let’s face it, despite all things that happened over the years, there is no better home for electronic music than Ibiza. Whether it is house, minimal or techno, every year thousands and thousands of crazy thrill seeking club goers visit the island to experience dance music in such a way that is unthinkable elsewhere. Only the hottest dj’s are allowed to show their skills in legendary clubs like Pacha, Amnesia or Space. And with the DJ Awards, Ibiza takes clubbing even a step further. Celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, the DJ Awards not only nominate the best djs, but also the hottest parties and festivals. This year’s nominee list would be incomplete without the presence of Mr. Sanchez.
The S-Man played all around the world and the Release Yourself nights at Pacha were a smash hit throughout the summer. At this year’s ceremony, Roger won the coveted Best House DJ Award. Being nominated in a tough category together with Louie Vega, Erick Morillo, Bob Sinclair and David Morales, Roger accepted the prize amidst a flurry of international press.
