ElectrixxLets talk about Electrixx , a project, thats born with a lot of names. So theres Erikk aka Tiefenrausch, who met Stigma 23 aka Monolith aka Electronic Bitch - these two guys started in the beginning of 2003 a Live Project named Electrixx.

Where and when have you guys met each other?

We met in 2002. in a Club in Berlin, and we talked about relationship problems with girls, so we found a good contact with each other and later we tasted to make music together... But in short:
2002 Electrixx was born in Berlin.

How did you get started making music, producing,  DJ-ing and what were your influences in the begining?

Erik: I started to be a dj in 1995. in a small club in Berlin. Parallel i tried to produce songs and tools for my own dj-sets. I found influences in Prodigy and german heroes like Hardy Hard and Tomcraft. Later, I gave up to be a dj and I focused my concentration on productions and live performing only.
Marph: I learned to sing in a chor in music school, 15 years ago. That was the beginning of my production experience. Influences was Front 242 and Prodigy and every classical huge production.

So as a dj/live act artist and producer, how did you progress from the time you got involved in music, where do you think you will go from now on?
Thats a question we can’t answer in few lines... We think we can write a book for that :) But in short words:
We love music from its beginning, so we came to the scene as young guys and we were happy about every contact in that scene which grew up there. And our key became the dancefloor tracks what people love. We will not say we have everything what we want, but we are happy about that we are what we are.

How would you describe your musical style?

We think we are not unique at all, but we found our typical electrixx style, which can be described as mixture of electro-techno-house with minimal elements and noisy sounds :)

Where has your music taken you recently?

The best thing to perform music is that we can see much places on earth... there were so much gigs in foreign countries, and everyone was great... last year we stopped in Malta, Ukraine, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Greece, Austria and Switzerland.

Is there maybe something that you hate, what about the travelling? No... or?

Erik: yes the non-smoking airports :)

What kind of equipment do you use for producing and for your liveacts?
We work with apple macbook pro, an hp-notebook, tascam digital-controller-mixer and 2 access virus ti polar synthezisers. Software Sequencer is Ableton live, but we think thats a standard ansfwer :)

Where do you get inspiration for your new projects?
Especially in clubs or festivals on our tour stops. We are not artists who come ten minutes in front of the gig, and leave it 10 minutes after the gig. We stay at the party to feel the people, to feel the djs, and so we get our inspiration for our new projects. Sometimes we do trial and error also, with no inspiration, but its less.

So what's big at the moment on the electro, house & electronic scene in Germany...in what way is different from the rest of the Europe?
Electro is not dead in germany, but we have much more minimal influences here. Thats the reason why we love croatia :) Germany especially Berlin is the mothertown for electronic music, and every visitor love this city, cause you can go to party from monday to sunday. Thats great! But when you come from Berlin, you think different :)
We found out, that people in foreign countries are much more thanksfull then the germany scene.

Where do you see the whole electronic scene, a lot of people say that electro-tech is coming back. Is that in one way the end of techno  beacuse it's starting to recycle itself in a way or will anything new come out of it all?
We think electro-tech was never away... but you will found less good produtions... so look at minimal music at the moment, everyone produce it, and much of productions are not good at all, its to cheasy easy music... and one year later, a new music is on hype. Who knows? Thats the music scene since 20 years, something comes, something goes... but everything is there.  Our words: Every Style is alive, when there are great productions.

So what makes you special as a live performing artists and what can we expect when we come and see you?
Oh what a nice question...

We are nice guys, we perform with love, we perfom with smiles, we love the crowd and we will play for them! We will give them what they want! And what they want is an electro party, right? :)
We will catch everyone :)

What are your plans in near future?
We plan to release over 10 singles in 2007. we hope to produce more artists than know... now we only produce for 3 artists and our own project. We dont wanna look too much in the future... we are alive now! Thats important... we think...  One thing: we wanna see everything on the earth... and if would in the future club exists on Mars, we want to play there:D

What is for you the biggest success?
What our parents say, it was good :) No it was a joke... the biggest success is when you become famous, but when you are still a normal guy who can become a teacher in things of music... thats it ;)

Do you think techno can progress any further than it has in the last 15 years and what's your opinion on the whole digital revolution and is it going to change the way you perform?
Techno is a livestyle... it will change everytime and will never be death... not more...We are digital, we are a liveact *hehe . I think everyone think about too much of it... remember 100 years ago there were no buisness about music, the singer sing and the friends listen... now we have buissness.. its our fault, so digital revolution is the only thing what was realistic, the people can decide on his own to buy one song and not the complete record. We think its much better, than pirating...  The technology allow digital performing, so... why not?

What do you think, will digital technology stay over vinyls?

Difficult question... we think every performer has to choose his way. So when the performer learn to work with more difficult technology it could be that digital will stay over vinyls... and why not? At the end its the same production.

Could you tell me a bit where your passions lie, not just in music but also outside of music?
We write an interview about 3 pages for only electronic music, we think to write about our normal life we need much more sheet of papers. In short: we are humans... we do the same like others... w e love our familys ... erik loves his son... normal things and not much especially. ;)

What’s the next release of Electrixx that we gonna see in vinyl shops?

...the next release is “backstage bitch ep” on karatemusik with a great remix from miles dyson. Its out on 15.1.2007 It will be a mixtures between typical electrixx sounds and completely new experience. We think it will be the best what we ever did.

What is your message/advice for young producers?

We are also young?! We hope :D but we can say only one thing... you have to believe in yourself and you have to find your own thing!

We know that you have been in Croatia, so, what do you think about our country and our party people? Are they different then party people in the rest of the Europe?

From Europe we can not say... but from germans definitivly... Croatian people are lovely and really friendly. They are realistic and they are open minded. How we said in the beginning of this interview, they are much more thanksfull! Thats very important for a good show for us... we need to feel the near, the spirit...

Do you have a message for readers of klubskascena.com and people in Croatia?
Feel free to write us at myspace.com/electrixxx and talk with us about music, productions or what else... everything else what we wanna say, we did in that great interview.
Thx a lot for that!
