A: “Atol (Hardfloor Remix)” Legendary acid masters Hardfloor, forever in the Hall of Fame for a classic track called “Acperience”, were spearheading an early Nineties techno movement in Frankfurt that would be christened the name Frankfurt Techno. Their percussion-driven remix is reminiscent of this time by allowing a great deal of acid modulation to simmer through the driving beat construct that leaves little but the original synth lead that trickles, melts and morphs into the amazing 303 driven synthline that twists and turns just as spaciously as the original. Wipes the floor and should have people hugging when the sun comes up.
B1: “Atol (Alex Flatner Remix)” Circle label boss Alex Flatner is on a heavier tip and gives us hard hitting stabs and thumping basses. And as if this wasn’t already enough, he firmly places the luscious lead in a twisted electro environment that wakes up the rebellious party spirit.
B2:: “Atol 2007” Wide and spatial sounds create the atmosphere of this positively resonating deeptech glider that builds on the light tones of an introverted yet happy melody that create a feeling of joy. Bouncing on light n sweet chord cascades and whirling across synthetically soothing synth scapes consisting of wavering pads and luscious sweeps, this track with its subliminally elevating power lifts spirit and body.
