NRK plunder deep into their envious back catalogue to present a DJ friendly, double CD of sun drenched deep house, latin vibes and dubwise grooves. The perfect accompaniment to hazy Summer nights, BBQ get togethers and loungin’ on the terrace, this 20 track compilation features full length and unmixed versions of summer grooves from the likes of Miguel Migs, Kings Of Tomorrow, Nick Holder, Freeform Five, King Britt, Ian Pooley & more.
Some gems are unearthed on Summerdaze, from the early Freeform Five edit of Easydelics’ delicious, samba infused “Berimbau De Osahna”, to the downright Madi Gras street party sounds of Nick Holder’s “Carnival 2000”, and the slow disco groove of Sandy Rivera’s Kings Of Tomorow project. Other hi-lights include the sublime King Britt remix of Q-Burns Abstract Message “Innocent” with Naked Music songstress Lisa Shaw on vocals, Ian Pooley & Magik J’s massive summer 2002 hit “Piha”, the smoking reggae house of Miguel Migs’ “Dubpusher”, the hazy Balearic bliss of Sirus’ “Big Ben” and the samba beats of Joeski & DJ Chus’ “El Amor”. |
