Dennis Ferrer - The World As I See ItGet ready for the new “Transitions” & “Destination” EP. Two new slammin’ instrumentals from Mr. Ferrer grace this new AA Side. Stemming from his forthcoming full-length album, The World As I See It, and already being championed by monster DJs Louie Vega, Danny Krivit, & Joe Claussell, this stunner once again showcases Dennis’ diversity and distinct ability to go from uplifting spiritual pandemonium to hot, underground, deep, danceable, head-nodding tech. This is evident in his past musical mammoths. “Sandcastles” & “Son of Raw”. Sounding more like Nite Grooves tracks than classic King Street, they’re both nevertheless works of electronic art. “Transitions” has that profound repetative synthy bassline we all like so much with Latin claps & Afro-styled percussion, gargled vocal sample and oh-so-much more. “Destination” starts off with slapping rhythms, then with strings drawn, he goes in to some far off Middle Eastern sh*t, only to throw in Parisian-styled accordions and back again. He meticulously assembles so many different sounds and his brilliant production sensibility allows him to seamlessly blend them all together. Crossing boundaries, cultures and continents, “Destination” proves that it’s just as much about the journey.
