Over the last 18 months Nick Liousias has been steadily carving out a reputation as one of the best young underground djs on the planet, whilst similtanoesly producing records that have been supported by some of the worlds biggest djs. His sound incorporates a wide range of genres from the sublime house of Phonique, Zoo Brazil & Booka Shade & Claude Von Stroke, more progressive influences from Infusion, D. Ramirez & Luke Dzierzek & King Unique through to the deeply electronic basslines of Trentmoller, King Roc & Williams and with smatterings of breaks and techno throughout. Liousias’ talent has already been showcased at a number of world-class club nights including ClubClass, where he has appeared alongside John Digweed, James Zabiela, Futureshock and resident Nic Fanciulli, at Turnmills where he has played with the likes of Hybrid, MYNC Project, Desyn Massillo, Phil K, Chris Fortier & Lexicon Avenue, at Twisted Melon’s 3rd Birthday with Nick Warren, at Babyshakes alongside the likes of Stanton Warriors, Freestylers & Breakfasterz, As well as label nights for respected labels like Silver Planet & CR2 records at various venues in London. Production wise Liousias has also extremely busy. His first track ‘Pluto’ was signed to Silver Planets subsidiary label Secret Planet, where the track received outstanding reviews in IDJ (5/5) & DJ magazine (4/5) and more recently he has collaborated with Luke Dzierzek. The duo are set to release their first EP titled ‘Wrongans & Randoms’ on Silver Planet following extensive support from many of dance music’s biggest names.
This includes Sasha who played ‘Wrongans’ at the SW4 afterparty at Brixton Academy infront of 4000 people and at Pure Future in South America to over 20,000 people, Dave Seaman who has licensed 'Randoms' for his new Renaissance compilation, Danny Howells, Steve Lawler, James Zabiela, Martejn Ten Velden, MYNC Project, Darren Emerson, Slacker, Fergie (Played Randoms on his BBC radio1 show) and King Unique. Nick looks forward to what will be an eventful 2006 having already warmed up for Sander Klienenberg @ Club Class @ The River Bar, played Club Class @ Ministry Of Sound & The Gallery @ Turnmills in London, Futurism @ Various venues and various other nights round the country, with gigs confirmed in Liverpool, Portsmouth, Maidsone, Sheffield, London and many more!
