 The new single by Frankie Knuckles , "Because of Your Love" featuring Jamie Principle is a reworked Dub version of the timeless classic "Your Love". The Groove Junkies have worked their magic in the studio and brought “Because of Your Love” to life as a 2007 soon-to-be House classic. Taking the silky, spoken-word vocals of Jamie Principle and adding beautiful keyboards and a warm bassline, this record is a reminder of the great songs that Knuckles and Principle made together in the early 90’s. After almost 20 years, they are back again hitting their stride as the funkiest team out of Chicago. Principle’s recent work with Frankie is just a glimpse of an album that is currently in production. Frankie Knuckles released his digital-only album, “DubJ’s D’Light” on his new NOICE!music label in early September. The album was designed for the dub-style DJ and Knuckles sought out remixers that he always wanted to work with to rethink past great songs. The album is mixed by such talents as Blaze, Eric Kupper, Quentin Harris, The Cleptomaniacs, Groove Junkies and The Shapeshifters. Knuckles’ “Whistle Song Revisited” and “Gimmie Gimmie (Disco Shimmy)” have sold well on vinyl and via download. Thinking of his fans that still wish to buy CDs, Knuckles sells them at his live shows when he performs worldwide. The album and singles are available for download via Traxsource and Beatport . The NOICE! deal with iTunes will bring Knuckles to the masses in the near future. “I want to keep thinking forward in this digital world,” states Knuckles. “Many people told me they couldn’t find my albums even though we spent a lot of money pressing, advertising, and distributing them via chains in many markets. For me, I believe digital is a better way because the music gets directly to the customer.
