From Ruby Sky in San Francisco Dubfire (Deep Dish) will be starting a 7 show tour of South America that kicks off January 18th at Pueblo Limite in Villa Gesell, Argentina. The tour will take Dubfire to Argentina, Chile, Peru and to Brazil, where on February 16th he will be joined by Deep Dish's other half, Sharam at Sold Out! in Capao de Canoa City, for a 4 stop Deep Dish (Sharam & Dubfire) tour of Brazil. |

While the Band MACHINE is developing fine, Afrika Islam (alias Mr. X) and Axel H. (alias AXE) want to also proove their ability as a DJ-Team with an unusual twist of course. As we would expect from these guys, everything is turned upside down and stylistically nothing is at it´s place. Reykjavik (Iceland) based outfit Gus Gus (trio of Biggi Veira, Earth and President Bongo) are set to release their fifth studio album early next year on their own imprint Pineapplerecords. Titled "Forever", the LP will contain twelve new tracks - as usual - in Gus Gus' trademark, dancefloor-friendly style. The guests on the album include Daniel August, Detroit ace Aaron Carl, Pall Oskar and Omar Gudjonsson, among others. Remixes and recombinitations were (and are gonna be) handled by Moonbootica, Diringer, Mark Bell, Thor, DMS, Patrick Chardronnet, Tim Deluxe, Jack Schidt, Greg Churchill and of course the in-house crew: Biggi Veira and the albino President Bongo. |

The PLUG 2007 Independent Music Awards will be held February 10, 2007 in NYC at Irving Plaza. Artists and presenters will be announced soon, so stay tuned. In the meantime, PLUG has been busy lately teaming up with PLUG voters & promoters in cities all over North America to showcase local artists and to celebrate local music scenes that are as vibrant and realized as anything the media obsesses over on the coasts (although we’re going there too!).
